Is Facebook Listening To Your Messenger Chats?

1. As reported by several news outlets including ABC News and NBC's Today Show, Facebook admits to secretly transcribing audio chats between Users on its Messenger App.


2. Facebook says they were transcribing audio chats to ensure their AI system was working properly, even though they specifically said they would not use human transcription in their disclosures.


3. Facebook has temporarily paused the human transcriptions and has provided Users a way to opt-out, in case they start transcriptions again in the future.
